The iridescent colors gleaming from the abalone
rectangle shell reminded me of the reflections on Piney River – a
wonderful slow moving river we floated on in my youth. I picked up the
aqua from the pendant in the three strands of glass beads. They remind
me of the riffles we would encounter on the float trips which added
excitement (and sometimes wet paddlers) when the canoe would race down
that fast running water. I’ve embellished the shell with dangles of
freshwater pearl, Swarovski crystals, chain and a sterling silver pine
cone charm.
